Artificial stone refers to a material made by using polymers, cement, or a mixture of both as binders, natural stone chips (powder), natural quartz (sand, powder), calcium carbonate, or aluminum hydroxide powder as main fillers, and adding pigments and other auxiliary agents, through processes such as mixing, coagulation, and curing. Based on the different fillers, it can be divided into three types: solid surface material, artificial quartz stone, and artificial marble.

Artificial stone has become a major material for kitchen countertops due to its many advantages. However, because artificial stone is primarily made of unsaturated resin, it has an inherent expansion force, and the processing methods and skills involved in deformation account for a large proportion of its quality issues. This is also the main reason for the quality problems of artificial stone countertops.
